Sadie was born in North Carolina. She takes anxious pictures around touch and delicacy, assault and desire. Her work has been published and shown nationally and internationally. Her work is included in books held at MOMA, Yale Haas library, the Tate, and more.
Sadie teaches at the School of Visual Arts and the School of Photography in Reykjavik.
She graduated from Yale with a BA in Photography, and is completing a Fulbright grant in Iceland.
